Liv Bargman joined The Artworks through the Startworks programme after graduating from University College Falmouth in 2008.
She lives and works in the Welsh English borderlands of Shropshire and Mid Wales. The hilly and ancient monument borderland landscape infiltrates her work, which is a magical land of beautiful imagination texture and colour. Liv creates these gorgeous images by using mix media of paper, felt tips, crayons, ink and an old trusty 0.5mm mechanical pencil.

Liv's commissioners love her totally unique work and her hand-drawn type. She is inspired by creatures that have strange mating calls and habits such as the Bowerbird and Lyrebird and also nebulas and black holes, pixels and Balkan folk.
The inspiration for Liv's work includes dirty edges like toner from the photocopier, late 19th century early 20th century photos and cinema, ships, mountains, caves and Sami tribe, retro computer games graphics (i.e Sega Megadrive), anything Japanese.
