A recent graduate from Falmouth University, Jia-yi is a UK-based illustrator from Taiwan. Her work is greatly influenced by geometric shapes which is reflected by her love of Cubism, art deco posters and The Memphis Group.
Jia’s process starts with sketching out all the ideas and concepts. Then from there, everything moves to a screen – switching between Illustrator and Photoshop. Working digitally allows for an endless playground of textures, gradients and beautiful colours – all of which helps create work with a beautiful sense of drama and atmosphere. The content of her work is very diverse and the shapes she creates can be found in everything from objects to large landscapes.
