Irene Pérez

Irene Pérez works from her studio in Barcelona. Her dynamic and vibrant artwork allows her to collaborate on projects in design, music, publishing, editorial, as well as social and cultural projects.

Growing up between Ibiza and Castellón (Spain) Irene studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design in Valencia. Upon finishing her studies, her passion for discovering other cultures pushed her to travel to different countries. She developed an eclectic multicultural perspective that is reflected in her work, and studying Graphic Design has given her a unique client perspective when taking on commissions.  As Irene immersed herself in travel and work, she uses the iconography of different cultures, such as Latin American or Asian, and through the use of colours and textures, she captures these experiences in her work, finding her own language halfway between illustration and graphic design.

Irene uses a combination of traditional and digital media to give her work authentic but forward thinking vision. She uses various subjects for inspiration including myths, rituals, animals, plants, insects, flowers, magical environments, land, literature, cinema and music.  All of which are key elements in her work.
