Katie Ponder's beautiful new Ballet and Cirque du Soleil inspired Illustrations

Katie Ponder’s beautiful new series of Illustrations have been inspired by her favourite characters and costumes from recent Royal Opera House Productions.

The stories, characters and costumes from the ballet has always been a source of inspiration in Katie’s work since she began her studies in Illustration. Winning an AOI prize in 2014 for her work inspired by the ballet: Rite of Spring – Katie has continued to find ideas for her work during regular visits to see ballets and operas.

Also a recent visit to see the fantastic show Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall provided further inspiration for a series of posters based on the fabulous performance.
