Lucy Rose creates a stunning illustration for the cover for Stacey Halls new novel, The Familiars

Lucy Rose was commissioned by Bonnier Zaffre Publishing to illustrate the cover for Stacey Halls much anticipated new book, The Familiars.

Set in the early 1600s in Lancaster during the infamous Pendle witch trials, the novel focuses on the friendship of two women who are both fighting for their lives in the face of prejudice. The cover needed to show beauty, but also a hint of darkness to emphasise the danger the women faced during this turbulent time. 

The Familiars will be released in February 2019.
