We are incredibly excited to introduce our newest Illustrator and Motion Designer: Harry Goldhawk. Based in Cornwall, Harry’s beautiful digital drawings explore nature, the elements and cool cowboys; he loves designing fantastical book covers and animating exciting motion graphics. Alongside Illustration, Harry is also the co-founder of Papio Press, an Art Print and Accessories Company that includes delicate designs by Harry himself.

Harry describes his approach to Illustration as a mix between digital and textural, telling us “Almost all of my work is done digitally now. After having a baby I found I was struggling to get to my desk to draw, so I bought an iPad and Procreate and never looked back. For me an iPad is the perfect collaboration of working digitally but still getting the traditional feel of pen to paper.”

His favourite project he’s worked on so far is Zen: The Art of Simple Living published by Penguin. “To be asked to illustrate a handful of calm Japanese landscapes was a dream brief. The art direction was amazing, it felt like a real celebration of the natural beauty of Japan and I really enjoyed trying to infuse that feeling of calmness and Zen into each image”

In the future Harry told us he “would love to the opportunity to create some travel related gifs”, intertwining his love of nature and skill of capturing motion. “There’s something so rewarding about watching your illustrations come to life”.

And his favourite snack? “Sweet & salty popcorn is my go to!”
