Kate Forrester’s Christmas re-design of KP Original Salted Peanuts

It’s officially feeling a lot like Christmas at the Artworks and what better way to enter the holiday season than to show off Kate Forrester’s recent festive re-design of KP salted peanuts. A staple snack for anyone peckish during the party season, Kate has taken the classic KP blue packaging and added a gorgeous wintery twist.

We had a chance to chat to Kate and hear more about this exciting project…

“I was asked to come up with a wrap around illustration for KP nuts sharing caddy – something accessible, unpretentious and celebratory for the festive season but not limited to Christmas. The quality of the packaging had to reflect the quality of the nuts inside and to be the centre of attention at a party!”

Kate worked with This Way Up Design to create the artwork, starting in her classic hand drawn style with finishing touches made up on Photoshop. “I love working with intricate shapes and flat colour so it wasn’t stepping out of my comfort zone at all! I liked the light-hearted subject matter – scenes of celebration, parties but in an outdoor/winter setting. I also love trees, they pretty much always feature in my illustrations one way or another.”
