Laurindo Feliciano's creates a surrealist tinged poster for La Compagnie Des Gens.

Laurindo Feliciano has illustrated a poster for the Burgundy based theatre company, La Compagnie Des Gens. Initially having all their summer shows cancelled due to Coronavirus, the company got the go ahead from the French government to organise a summer show outdoors.

Wanting to quickly get the word out they commissioned Laurindo, who was able to come up with a concept and deliver the final poster in just a few days. Wanting to blur the boundaries between the performance and the actors, Laurindo’s poster features children excitedly performing, covered in plantlife that could form part of their costume or something much more surreal.

Laurindo hopes to continue working with La Compagnie Des Gens for the next few seasons; it will be interesting to see how his approach to interpreting their performances changes as things may or may not change for them in the current pandemic. Regardless, we are excited to see Laurindo’s love of cultural projects come through in this first poster for them.
