Check out Lizzie King’s joyous window displays for The Yards, Covent Garden.

If you’ve wondered through Covent Garden recently you may have been greeted by the joyous artworks of Lizzie King, in gargantuan ten metre high window displays for shopping, dining and wellness destination, The Yards.

I was so excited and nervous. I spent a few evenings sketching out ideas to get the composition right. I wanted the final work to be colourful and bold to bring lots of joy to the area!

As part of their Find They Joy campaign, Lizzie created the window displays as well as way-finding vinyls scattered around the area, instagram gifs and prints for a giveaway. PHEW! Commissioned by Inkling Creative Agency, the windows are the biggest Lizzie’s work has ever been displayed (so far!)

I went to see the final windows with my son who’s 2 and it was the first time he’s understood what I do for a living which was really nice.
