Laura Barrett shares her cover for The Amazing Mr Blunden, published by Little Brown.

We are so happy to share Laura Barrett‘s latest book cover for the reissue of The Amazing Mr Blunden written by Antonia Barber for Little Brown. The new edition coincides with the release of a Sky Tv adaptation, directed by Mark Gatiss.

Working with designer Charlotte Schooner at Little Brown, Laura wanted to capture the gothic feel of the house setting, while keeping a festive and light overall atmosphere, “I had a great time getting stuck into illustrating the gothic house setting and juxtaposing the Victorian children with the modern day kids.”
